New Year festival
Sinhala and Tamil people are now ready to celebrate the New Year these days. This New Year is the first one people celebrating after the war. In past years people’s hope is peace and co-existence to the country. But in this new year what kind of hopes people have?
සිංහල හින්දු අළුත් අවුරුද්ද සැමරීමට සිංහල හා හින්දු ජනතාව සූදානම් වෙති. දශක තුනක කාලයක් පැවති යුධමය වාතාවරණය අවසන් වීමෙන් පසුව අළුත් අවුරුද්ද සමරන පළමු අවස්ථාව මෙය වේ. පසුගිය වර්ශයන් වලදී අළුත් අවුරුද්ද සැමරීමෙන් මෙරට ජනතාව බලාපොරොත්තු වූයේ රටට සාමය හා සහජීවනයයි. නමුත් මෙවර අළුත් අවුරුද්ද සැමරීමෙන් ජනයාගේ බලා පොරොත්තු මොනවාද යන්න මෙම විශේෂාංගයෙන් විමසයි.
